Delano is a college graduate!

Delano graduated today from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He has worked so hard and I am so proud of him! Jett was proud of him too, and he behaved so well during the ceremony. I took lots of pictures and will share some below.

Jett's first hair cut!

Jett had his very first hair cut earlier this week. We have put it off for so long, mostly because we knew that he would no longer look like a baby. He looks like such a big boy now. It makes me sad that his newborn hair is gone. But it was definitely time to cut it. He couldn't even see very well half the time because it was in his eyes. We took him to a great friend who has cut mine and Delano's hair for years- Brittany. Normally he loves her! But not this day. I sat down with a cape thing over me and Jett had a cape over him. He cried and wiggled around so that it was impossible for her to cut his hair. We did get him still enough for her to get the worst of it trimmed up, and he is a bit uneven, but we aren't complaining! :) It is out of his eyes now and he looks so grown up. He looks so much like Delano's nephew Joey when he was little. I dread the next hair cut, but am hopeful that eventually he will cooperate. Below are some pics we took.

Weekly update

OK so this past week has been a tough one. I have been so sick with a cold/flu virus of some kind that really kicked my butt for almost a week. It sucked big time! I even had to miss work which was bad because I haven't been there for a month yet. But they understood and seemed grateful that I wasn't sharing my germs with them at the office. Needless to say, I haven't gotten anything done. But we did go Christmas shopping today and are almost done.
Jett is supposed to get his 12 month shots tomorrow. He was sick and we put them off and now that we have them scheduled wouldn't you know he has a cold again. But we will see what they tell us. I hate it when he gets shots. I wish there was a painless way to do it. It breaks my heart.
He will hopefully be getting his first haircut this week as well. He needs one bad! He will be so grown up and look like such a little boy then. I will post pics afterward. Well, off to bed....

Trying this out!

Hi all! I am going to try blogging so that I can share with everyone as Jett grows and things happen within our family. I am working part time now and Jett is a bundle of energy so I don't have time to communicate with people as much as I would like. I promise to try to keep up wth this but forgive me if I slack off a bit at times.
Just a little bit that is happening:
Jett had his 1st birthday party on Nov. 15 and it was great! He had so many people there to celebrate with him. He did cry for most of the party, but I think he was a bit overhwhelmed. Hopefully he will understand and enjoy it more next year. He received so many gifts and we appreciate it so much. Pictures of his party are below.
Delano will graduate from college on Dec 13. I am so proud of him! Jett is too!!! Now if we can just find him a job..... lol.
